Who is Flanagan Foodservice?

We are an independently owned and operated Canadian company that continues to evolve within the Foodservice Industry. Joe Flanagan founded the company in 1977 with the emphasis on customer service. Currently we have 3 locations; Kitchener, Whitby and Sudbury. We are constantly improving by refining our services, systems and product mix to offer the flexibility to meet our customer's challenges and evolving needs.

Who is Carve Premium Ontario Beef?

Carve Premium Ontario Beef is an exclusive beef brand of Flanagan Foodservice Inc. Carve Premium Ontario Beef is produced on Ontario family farms using a documented Quality Assurance program and is government inspected in a HACCP approved facility for enhanced food safety.

Why Do We Collect Personal Information?

Flanagan Foodservice Inc. will only collect personal information for the following purposes:

  • to confirm customer identity and credit history;

  • to provide customer with ongoing service;

  • to understand customer needs and preferences; and

  • to meet legal and regulatory requirements.

What Personal Information Do We Collect?

Like most foodservice distributors, we collect and use personal information in order to serve our customers. Examples of the type of personal information we collect for those purposes include your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, fax numbers, websites, banking information, your credit information, and products purchased.

  • is kept strictly confidential and secure;

  • is used only for the purposes stated herein; and

  • is checked for accuracy.

All personal information Flanagan Foodservice Inc. retains adheres to our Privacy Policy. By establishing an account with Flanagan Foodservice you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by Flanagan Foodservice Inc. We may email you if we have the appropriate consent.

Social Media

If you choose to communicate with Flanagan Foodservice Inc. or Carve Premium Ontario Beef via social networking (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, You Tube etc.) you should be aware that personally identifiable information you submit through these medians can be read, collected and used by anyone with access to the forum or who visits the social networking page where the comment or post is posted. Flanagan Foodservice Inc. is not responsible for non-Flanagan Foodservice use of this information.

Release Without Consent

In most cases, we will not release your information without your consent. However we must provide information in response to a valid demand, search warrant, subpoena or court order based upon a request by a government institution or where otherwise required by law. We may also disclose information to help us collect a debt owed to us by you.

Protecting Personal Information

We understand the importance of protecting personal information. For that reason, we have taken the following steps:

  • sensitive paper information is either under supervision or in a secured location;

  • electronic data and transactions are protected by the use of passwords, firewalls and/or encryption methods; and

  • our staff is trained to be aware of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of personal information in their control.

Retention and Destruction of Personal Information

We need to retain personal information for some time to ensure that we can answer any questions you might have about the services provided and for our own accountability to external regulatory bodies. We keep your personal information for a period of not more than 7 years and not less than 4, after your account has been closed. After this period, the information is destroyed under appropriate supervision.

Flanagan Foodservice collects the IP address and other related information of all visitors, such as page visits, browser type, operating system, and average time spent on websites. We use this data to monitor and improve our websites. Like many companies, Flanagan Foodservice may also use cookies. Cookies is a small text file that is transferred from a website through your web browser to the cookies folder on your computer. When you visit our site, the cookie tells us whether you have visited us before. The cookie does not track any personal information and the cookie does not share any information about your computer or files. Flanagan Foodservice may employ the use of cookies to show you internet based advertisements.
